This is a frequently asked question.
Answer?........Learning Tai Chi is not about 'reaching a destination' - it is, rather, 'a journey'.
The learning process never ends. Chinese Tai Chi Masters continue to learn from Grand Masters....and the process continues, with ever increasing 'enlightenment' and personal development. One learns how to become more sensitive within oneself and to the outside world, cope with stress, develop an enhanced feeling of self control, improve balance, co-ordination, improve health and reduce the of risk of disease.
When joining a Tai Chi class, the most important thing to remember is that the learning process is not a race to learn the 'form'. There is no competition. One learns at one's own pace and, most importantly, enjoys whatever can be taken from each and every session. Usually, a feeling of deep relaxation is felt by even the most inexperienced novice after their first class.
Take part with an open mind, an open heart, and enjoy as little and as much as you get from your Tai Chi and Qigong.
